The Castle was originally owned by the Leslie Family. Their ancestry can be traced back to Atilla the Hun. The first Leslie was a Hungarian Nobleman, he served as the chamberlain and protector of Margaret, the Queen of Scotland. He was known as the "Fighting Bishop" for defeating Cromwell forces in a battle. His son John, inherited the estate at the age of 26. Today, the castle is known for its elegance and beautifully designed rooms filled with antique furniture and heirlooms.

Nestled on 1,000 acres of undulating countryside, dotted with ancient woodlands and sparkling lakes, this Castle Hotel is a stunningly beautiful and secluded romantic destination.
The 5 star hotel offers a different experience than just staying at a hotel; each bedroom has been decorated by keeping with the building's features and designed with comfort in mind.
Steeped in history, Castle Leslie is far from just a historic castle hotel where guests can enjoy their privacy and tranquility. The castle offers everything a guest can expect from a historic building like this, ghosts included. Thankfully, the ghosts that have been sighted so far are not malevolent at all, since they appear to be the original owners who wander around the castle and touch a few things here and there.
