What is the history of the property?
very long story. From the birth of Fra Salimbene back in 1200, it became a Dalla Rosa Prati property in 1700 when my family refurbisehhed it completely. It was partially bombed during the second world war and therefore rebuilt in the south area. Since 2004 we started renting part of our palazzo to the Tourists

it is surrounded by the most important monuments of Parma such as the Cathedral (Duomo), the Baptistery and the Bishop's Palace which is the most ancient Palazzo of Parma, built on the ancient Roman ground

The restoration started with its faces back in the early 2000
Are there any elements of particular historical importance at the building?
there are several frescoes original from the 1400 and a wonderful ceiling vaulted besides coffered ceilings. In the "cafe" area there is also a column dated 1200
Are there any important guests or previous owners worth mentioning?
we welcomed very important Guests such as Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi and many others that we prefer not to mention for Privacy reasons, but also for example Royal Families. In our Family who owned the Palazzo, we had very important ancestors such as Guido (scientist, mayor of Parma and much more), Scipione (who signed the contract with "Correggio" to come and paint many cupolas and more in Parma
Are there any significant events that took place at the property in the past?
Several important marriages, parties, shows aso. One remarkable was some years ago for the presentation of new models of Ferrari cars

Our palazzo is recognized by the italian superintendence of historical assets and is part of A.D.S.I. (italian association of historical buildings), and also part of "Castelli del Ducato" (association of Castles of the Duke of Parma).

Mentioned by "a thousand places to see before you die" (NY Times) our accommodations have amazing views and equipped with a kitchen besides being fully serviced by WiFi.
